Turns out a guy a know that lives a mile away is trying to get rid of two early 70's snowmobiles, both 440's. One is complete and runs, the other is a parts snowmobile. So the plan is to make a custom creation that has two tracks on the back, each one with a separate motor. For steering I'll just throttle up one motor and throttle down the other, kind of like a grasshopper setup except with two motors not a hydrostat. I'll put wheels on front for summer, skis on for the winter. I need to take a closer look at the snowmobiles and make sure its possible, but I should be able to make it work. Just need a 440 from that era that has roughly the same hp, 40-50hp ish. Is the exciter 440 a complete running motor?
