mattsdad Registered User Join Date: Mar 2009 Posts: 7	P.S. the crank is also different, the 96 crank has seals on it because oil reservoir water pump. The 98 crank doesn't have these seals. I think the newer case has channels machined to lube the waterpump, keep the 96 crank with the 96 case ,
