Four wheel drive is necessary. Nothing worse than being stuck. My brother in law utilizes a GMC full box with satisfaction. Suggestion being to purchase a ramp system for easy loading/unloading. You can find these on ebay or on the web, usually around $250. I would go with a 4X4/long box/extended or crew cab/loading system (ramps). This will make the whole experience alot more enjoyable. No one wants to lift a sled after a long day of riding.
