the chain and the gears and everything are AOK. and what i meant about starting it. the starter motor has something that is worn out on it. i cant rememeber what its called, but once i let go of the key it makes a squealing noise. like a tire squealing. we are just going to be taking out the electric start. so we will see once that is gone
