If you look up your sled, you can see how it is supposed to go together.
The lower end of the shock is supposed to be mounted with the bracket above the shaft, not below it.
If it is below the shaft, when the suspension compresses, it can hit the lugs or even the track. Is there any signs of wear in the center of the track?

My only other thought is that maybe the chain is stretched/worn and is slipping on the sprockets.
