Suspension settings for mountain riding.

What should your suspension be set up at for mountain riding ? Especially to help carving and side hilling in deep soft snow?

And just thinking the other day why is it that skis on mountain sleds are so wide. I mean it makes sense because they help you stay on top of the snow but unless your carving most of the time your skis are in the air anyway.

And when your side hilling or carving dont you want small skis that would cut into the snow easier and make side hilling and carving easier or would they cut in two much and cause you to get stuck to easy. Any Thoughts........
