Belt isn't catching on clutch--just spins--then catches at high rpm's kinda
Ugh as I said above.
I went to move my belt and it was started moving like a train-Go-uh-go-uh kinda like a train.
Well I figured its my belt because thats where it is coming from. It was a new belt so I took it off inspected it, didn't find much to be concerned. So I tossed the other new belt in and same thing. Like the belt is there, and the clutch is spinning, just having trouble catching the belt.
Its a Team Clutch so its not like I can open or close it anymore. Just used the tool and pull it out.
You can smell the rubber burning from the sides and see it just skimming across it. I know this isn't a major deal (I'm thinking and praying)
It took 4200 RPM's for the clutch to somewhat engage. And it was WHINING trying to catch. Any suggestions? Its on the trailer and ready to roll tomorrow...so yeah...
Shouldn't it engage at 3200?
I thought maybe it was because the belt was formed to a figure 8 because it was cold and was stored on the clip thingy on the top of the clutch hand cover thing.
Would taking it inside warming it up make a difference?
