I don't... The only thing it may do is allow you to get a bigger pull vs. the small cranks with a starter. When I run my sled, I usually do it early or later at night so it is cooler. I'll even run it outside when it is raining.
My sled is so dusty right now, I need it to snow so I can take it through a few drifts and clean it!
