Even a carbed sled with reeds will spit back a little when running.
I suggest that you start with new plugs and then work you way back toward the coils, checking every connection as you go.
The problem could be as simple as a bad end cap, or a poor connection to the high tension wire. Unscrew the end cap and check the inside of the wire end. Clip off a 1/2 inch and reattach the cap and see if that helps.
