If your looking for a better ride I would try Ohlins befor Kimpax, thats just my thought. but with they why the older vmax's are made your kinda limited, I have a 97 and it was rough so I converted is over to the long travel suspention and it made a world of a difference, but I don't know if you can do it to the 1st gens.
