Most importantly, have fun. If you arent having fun, whats the point?
For your first few races I would suggest not trying to get the holeshot. You want to earn the respect of your fellow racers, so you dont want to go charging into the first turn and take people out.
Just fall into line in the first corner and see how many people you can pass. As you start to get the hang of it, then you can go for the holeshot.
