being from Minnesota also, "we don't get much snow" is a line. Get a trail pass...what $10 a year? and you can get ticketed for loud sled exhaust in MN. The 88db rule is enforced here also.
You may not sled in an area that has a lot of DNR patrols, but they are out there. They also have check points setup along trails and such.
the problem is, when people do not follow the rules, it ruins it for ME. We had a trail that went through 200 acres of woods in my area. It took a group of 4-5 moron sledders to go off the trail and ride around on this guys property. The next year, he wouldn't allow the trail through. Becasue these guys didn't follow the rules...if you don't follow one rule, you probably don't follow others.
