Loosen track tension, take belt off along with secoundary clutch. I'm not 100% shure on this but you will probly have to take the skid out to realy take the presure off the shaft. If you're just doing the speedo go ahead and loosend the set screw on the bearing lock collor then coolen it off the bearing with a punch. Remouve the speedo covers 3 bolts and eavrything should pop apart. Slip the old bearing off install new one. Install the bearing retainer plates 3 bolts and tighten it up. Install lock collor on bearing and the rest of the stuff you took off.
If you're doing the chaincase also, do the speedo side like I said. Drain the chaincase from the plug inside the tunnel. Take off all the accesories arround the chaincase cover then take it off. Remouve the gears one in there(self explanitory) then the same 3 bolts holding down a bearing retainer plate. Slide the bearing off(will probly need force) and install new one. Make shure you put back the rubber o-ring behind the new bearing while you are installing it back in there. Reverse the steps to put it back together.
This is a pretty brief description of the method for doing this. Once you get in there its pretty slef explanitory. IF you have more questions shoot! Have fun and good luck.
