1999 powder Special 600 EFI Questions

Hey Folks, new to your site, and snowmobiling.

I picked up a 1999 Arctic Cat Powder Special 600 EFI LE

It has 1400 miles on it. It has a D&D Pipe and can, chip, powermadd 8.5 risers, Boss seat, and clutching done.

My first question is, what are these sled like for reliability? I have a couple minor issues (speedo doesnt work, broken pin, easy fix)

I was checking the gear case oil and it is milky and extremly thick, like syrup at -40C. I am pretty sure it shouldnt be like that, so what all is invoved in draining the oil and what type and brand of oil is the best or reccomended for my machine.
