Just want to thank eveyone for their suggestions. This is a great site. The slides on my snowmobile were really stuck on and some of the suggestions I had tried and they would not budge. I tried the old hammer and flat chisel but they wouldn't let go. After reading what "bigsnowman" indicated on that tool I got one of them and it was a god send. When the slide was worn down as far as mine were the puller isn't much help because there really wasn't much to screw into and once it pulled out there was nothing to bite into for the screw a second attempt.

I was happy to see other people have had some problems in reading this site on getting the slides off. When they are stuck on there is not a simple answer. Like anything when you get the right tool you are home free. Taking a touch to them certainly isn't even an option because once the plastic even starts to melt you could damage the aluminum as well as the track. So I want to give a plug and a thank you to the guy that invented the ezslideremover and sure hope he gets his web site up and running because he needs to get the word out.
