to get back on topic...haha

the trip to da UP was awesome. i put on 500 miles between friday and sunday. snow was fabulous. all the trail systems were groomed and ready to ride.

day 1 - rode 419 out of munising to trail 8, trail 8 to 417 and 418 to au train. very good riding along trail 8. we tried to ride the au train trail from trail 7 but it was iffy.

day 2 - rode 419 to 8 to 422 and up to miners castle. very good conditions. from miners castle we rode back to the county road and took that to the bear trap. bear trap to trail 8 to H58 along pictured rocks was AWESOME!!! H58 comming into Grand Marias sucked especially at the park. leaving Grand Marias we took H58 to trail 8 then to shingleton. trail 8 just before you get into shingleton was bad. open water and poor snow. however, when you leave shingleton and ride trail 8 west it was awesome.

day 3 - we rode 419 to 8 to 7 to the buck horn. trails were very good. from the buck horn we wanted to see how far south we could ride. we could only get about 15 miles south of the bear trap before we turned around. we wanted to ride 7 all the way to 411 but there was no snow at 411.

over the weekend it snowed friday night 3+", saturday 2", and sunday about 1"...then on monday morning i woke up to 6" of snow on my truck (ironically the day i was leaving).

for anyone who wants to ride, id suggest this up comming weekend for sure.

i have pictures ill post, so stay tuned.
