If they need replacement - you better do it! If you let it go, you'll be in a lot deeper ($$$) in the long run.

Do what IRS said. It's EASY to do! I do mine in 15 or 20 minutes. Jack the rear up, remove the front screw, and tap the thing out through one of the windows in your track. Simple! Sometimes it helps to place a large screwdriver against the edge of the hyfax, and whack that. Don't worry about damaging the hyfax - you're going to throw it out anyway. Once you get it moving, it goes easier the more you have sticking out the back.
