On my FC's, you must loosen up the track quite a bit, first. Remove the screw at the front of the slide rail that holds the hyfax in position. Line up a track window at the rear & just slide it off the rail out through the window. You will prolly need some persuasion (hammer) to get it off. Spray the rail with WD-40 to help lube.

Exactly!! I've done ALL my sleds this same way! I Never had to touch a skid frame to change Hi fax.  Sounds like a lot of work for a part that slides on fairly easy.  Just pull it off and push it on through the track clip hole(window).
