i have always used it in the fuel, i think on the can it has an application for oil, but cannot remember exactly. i know one can helped clean out my van that would not run after it had been sitting for years. once dumped in i had to put a fresh set of plugs in (3rd set that day) and about ten miles of road riding it would idle and run fine all on its own. i have also used it in a few ATVs that needed a good fuel clening, it really worked great there too
