I have a 96 600 XLT Touring (w/Reverse) The first season I smoked the chain and gears by over tensioning. It got so hot the gear oil dip stick melted. Duh!

I replaced everything in the grear case and my buddy adjusted the tensioner. In all fairness to Buddy. Plus the fact he works for Ontario Hydro where they use nothing but big tools and pipes on johnston bars. I would like to know the proper Polaris recomended procedure for tightening/adjusting the drive chain...PLEASE?
