my dad went on a 650 mile trip on his 1979 el tigre back when it was new. As long as the sled is in good condition and you have the route planned well, you should be alright. plus, if the snow conditions are good it doesn't matter what kind of suspension you have. If they get rough, you may be in for a treat.
