Was it running on both when you bought it? Did he run it after the rebuild on the cylinder? Did the rebuild happen over the summer if so he may have done a heavy oiling to prevent any rusting rather than just fogging then rebuilt the other. I would most likely pull the exhaust, plug and carb to clean as much of the "oil" out as I can. A little kero in the intake while cranking it should do the trick to help move it out. If there is a lot in the cyl then it could be all blowback. then new plugs and give it a whirl. if it returns then it is posiable that a oil line is connected to the carb in the place of the gas or eaven the overflow. Dose it have intake injectors? If so swap injector lines. Is it oil or mix you are seeing?
