Got spark? Get new plug or clean off oily plug with propane torch, and put in plug cap. Place plug on unpainted engine surface- usually head bolt heads work ok. Crank over and look for spark. Make sure other plug is out also. Be careful not to have spark over plug hole or you might have a small explosion. I have had a bad plug cap cause loss of spark on 88 wildcat. Wire broke off in cap, I think.
