Cool Got a SS25

Hi, I have an 1984 SS25. I tried to post a picture of it but the file size was to large, sorry. Anyway, the SS25 is SkiDoo's 25th anniversary edition, (the only year they made that name for the sled) For when you go looking for parts, I have been told the 1985-86 Formula SS is pretty much the exact same sled minus the anniversary decals. The one thing about the SS25 is parts are hard to find. The engine is a Rotax 462CC Liquid. Runs great but do yourself a favor and make sure the screws for the primary clutch balance weight (looks like a blank starter ring gear) are on tight and do it often. I had mine come loose and when they do the weight shears right off. I am still looking for a primary clutch inner (engine side) half and new blank balance ring. It will run without it but I don't like the idea of not having it on. When I get it fixed (hopefully soon) I plan to put lock-tight on those little bastered screws and check them before every ride. Also, be sure to check the exhaust pipe aft attachment spring mounted bolt (its under the retaining clip on the back part of the exhaust) if it gets loose and your front bolt (by the tie rod ends) is loose or the hole that the front bolt mounts through in the exhaust is widened by wear (which it probably is) the exhaust will tend to crack on the neck just about where the exhaust manifold ends in side the exhaust pipe. If you need parts for the SS25 you bought I can give you a few web sites I have had luck with and hopefully you can do the same as you start wrenching on yours. Congrads on your ebay purchase. They should someday be a collectable sled.
