February 2006 SOTM

This month was by far a competitive month, however, there was one sled that topped all the rest.

Congratulations 72TNTSkidoo for Feb '06 SOTM, and for an awesome sled! Keep up the good work.

I'm not even going to tamper with his write up...read below on what hes done to his sled:

We bought the sled with my dad back in the winter of 2000 on a trip in down east Maine. It was ridden for that one season, and sat for almost 3 years when I was suddenly intrigued to try and start it at the last day of the 03-04 season.

I basically from there tried to get in running for the 04-05 season, but from all the non use in the previous years, it needed some more internal attention.

I had the clutch side head removed and replaced, because the old one had serious damage and it kept blowing gaskets. Over last summer, I sanded and had the hood repainted.

I replaced the windshield, taillight, headlight, and had the skis powder coated. I also sanded running boards and applied a few coats of paint to them. Also replaced back springs and installed a corrector on the speedometer.

Then of course, with the kind services of SEG, he assisted the process of getting the machine in tip top condition. He cleaned the clutches, replaced fuel lines and rebuilt the carburetor. He installed ski runners, fixed the speedometer, and at last, I recently installed an electricity regulator to get all the lights on the machine going again.
